OA Nights were a blast!! There was a slip and slide, hatchet throwing and free ice cream. All in all it was fun and exciting experience for all scouts present I would also like to thank all OA members who helped out in the process and who helped run the booth.

STSR 2010 summer camp staff camp chief Barry Jordan here and it has been decided that OA night will be on the traditional Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. The official dates are June 23, June 30, July 7. All OA members are invited to come and join us for the festivities. Help is very much needed and appreciated each night. Maybe you’ve heard someone say it and were not sure what they were talking about. Well get ready to hear more and more about it. Its Yustaga Native American Weekend. Just call it YNAW (Why-Naw). YNAW will be the very first Native American weekend event for the council. It will be a weekend of fun and informative events for scouts throughout the council. We will have Native American dancing, drum, regalia, Native American arts, crafts and food. We can’t put on an event of this size without the help of everyone in the lodge. Contact the chairman of the event and see what you can do to help make this event a great success. Even if you know someone that is involved in Native American events contact the chair with contact information. It will be a great weekend, so start talking about it to your troop now. The event will be February 25th – 27th 2011 at Spanish Trail Scout Reservation. Make plans for your troop to attend. Want to help out? Chairmanships and committee’s are forming now.
